New bubble tea cafe opens on Main St.
January 22, 2020
On December 9 on Main street in downtown Walla Walla, owners Steve Salas and Brandi Dunlap open Black Pearl Boba. Black Pearl Boba was originally started in Boise and just built their second location here in Walla Walla. The previous tenant, Cartridge World, has relocated to another place on West Main street. This allowed Black Pearl Boba to open up.
Owners Salas and Dunlap started their boba adventure by opening Boise Bobba. Boise Boba believes that success is based on the product quality, therefore they focus on having the best quality of teas and drinks. Boise Boba has made it to #2 on the list of Boise’s top ten boba cafes.
After the great success in Boise, Salas and Dunlap decided to open a location in Walla Walla. Black Pearl Boba has a wide variety of teas and coffees on their menu so there’s something for everyone. Some of their specialty drinks include, the “crave” which is a mango, guava, and passionfruit tea. They also have milk teas such as thai tea, chai and many more. In addition to the teas, there are smoothies and coffees. There’s a sunset smoothie with strawberry, pineapple and coconut. If you are wanting coffee they have a wide variety of lattes and coffees.
Instead of having traditional sizes like small, medium or large, Black Pearl Boba has sizes selfie (16 oz) and gucci (24 oz). The creativity will help to attract customers and makes the experience more fun. “I love going to Black Pearl Boba. They have such a variety of drinks on their menu, I feel like I could try something new every time I go,” said customer Chloe Moon.
The prices range from $2.50-$5.25. These prices are comparable to other cafes and coffee shops in Walla Walla. You can stop by Black Pearl Boba on Main street on Monday-Saturday from 10:30-8pm and on Sundays from 11-6pm.
