Wa-Hi Athletics Postseason Update, May 13, 2025
Post season has started for many Blue Devil spring athletic teams.
In boys tennis, sophomore Luke Higgins qualified in singles, while Micah Eggart and Felis Leise qualified in doubles for the District 6 3A Tennis Championships. This year’s tournament will be held in Walla Walla with the boys playing at Whitman College beginning at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 16th. The girls tournament will be held at the brand new tennis courts on the Walla Walla High School campus also beginning at 2:00 pm on Friday. All tennis action will be held at WWHS on Saturday, May 17th beginning at 10:00am. Come out and support your Blue Devils.
The Blue Devil baseball team opened the District 3 3A baseball tournament at Mt. Spokane on Saturday, May 10th. The Blue Devils dropped a tough game to the Wildcats, 12-2. The team crosses over to the consolation bracket with a 4:00 home game vs Shadle Park on Tuesday, May 13th at Murr Sports Park. The game will be streamed live on Blue Devil Northwest (BDNW Link). A reminder that all playoff games have an admission fee of $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens, students, and military personnel. Cash is accepted at the site. The boys and girls golf teams head to Horn Rapids Golf Course in Richland for their District 6 3A Boys and Girls Golf Tournament with the Greater Spokane League.
Boys and girls track and field teams head to the MCC Championships at Hanford High School on Friday, May 16th and Saturday, May 17th to compete for entries into the District 6 Championships at Hermiston HS. Friday’s action begins at 3:00 for the field events, followed by running events at 5:00. Saturday action begins at 10:00 am and 11:00 am for the field and running events respectively.
